What to Expect (A Practical Guide)
We believe in clear answers, not fine print. Here’s how we work together to make your project smooth, safe and efficient.
-
We visit your property and quote based on what we can see. If we discover hidden issues once work begins (like rot behind siding or unstable concrete), we’ll talk to you before doing anything extra. Quotes are good for 30 days.
-
Welcome to exterior work in Canada! Rain, extreme cold, or high winds can affect both safety and quality. We'll reschedule as needed—no penalty to you. We promise to keep you in the loop.
-
Just one thing: clear the work area. Move planters, patio furniture, cars, and decorations away from where we'll be working. If we have to move things for you, we will—but please know we can't take responsibility for items that are fragile, sentimental, or already damaged.
-
Safety first. Please keep children and pets completely out of the work zone while we're on site. We love both—but ladders, stains, and power tools don't mix with zoomies or curious toddlers.
-
We will get very, very close. But wood, concrete, and older coatings all absorb stain differently. Natural materials have natural variation. We promise beautiful results—not identical swatches.
-
We stand behind our application workmanship. If our application fails (peeling, lifting, etc.), we’ll make it right. Normal fading, weather wear, or cracks from your home settling? That’s just life with exterior surfaces.
-
A deposit may be required to book your spot on our schedule. The final balance is due when the job is substantially complete—meaning you can see the finished work. If payment is delayed, we may pause work or add interest.
-
Just ask. We’ll give you a price for the change, get your approval (text or email is fine), and go from there. No surprises.
-
We’re proud of our work. We may use project photos in our portfolio, social media, or website. No personal info will ever be shared. If you’d rather we didn’t, just tell us in writing before we start.
-
Let’s be honest—unpaid bills hurt small businesses. If a balance remains unpaid, we may send it to collections, add legal fees, or file a lien as allowed under Ontario law. We’d much rather work out a solution with you first.
“My project is scheduled today, what do I do to prepare?”
Prepare the space
1
Move all furniture, planters, décor, and vehicles at least 10 feet from work area.
Something fragile near by?
2
If you have sentimental or fragile items near the work zone, either move them or tell us in writing.
Away from home during the project?
3
Unlock gates. Let us know where the outdoor water spigot and exterior outlets are.
Project your pets
4
Secure pets indoors or in a fenced area away from work.
Talk to kids about staying clear of ladders and tools.
Take a quick "before" photo of any existing cracks, stains, or damage (for your own peace of mind).
